Healthy Roots Community is the culmination of more than a decade of efforts to increase the production and consumption of local food in the region.

Centered in Ashtabula County, NE Ohio

The people on the board of Healthy Roots Community are farmers, educators, health practitioners, homesteaders, lawyers, and accountants. We will work to galvanize our local community to support and build a robust local food system that honors our local farmers and food producers. Learn more about us here.

We envision a vibrant community that sustains a resilient local food system by supporting local farms, encouraging new farmers, and increasing access to local food and farm products. This community will work together to address food equity, provide community education, and promote community health.
